It is with sadness that we have to report that Lord Soulsby, a long standing council member of the Central Veterinary Society has died on the 8th of May. Lord Soulsby was the first Veterinary Surgeon to enter the House of Lords in 1990. During his exceptional career he was both president of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and the Royal Society of Medicine. He was dedicated to ‘One Health’ and he received the Queen’s medal in recognition of this and for his contributions to veterinary politics. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
